Dear Clients,
For those of you that don’t know already, we are excited to announce that Maria is expecting and is due at the end of this year! She’s been feeling fantastic is and looking forward to the new addition to their family.
This is a bittersweet event for us at the Firm as needless to say we are thrilled for her and her family, but we will be missing her here at the office.
In her absence, we are pleased to welcome Alicia O’Connell who will be covering for Maria while on maternity leave. I’ve been fortunate to know Alicia for years and I am confident she will be a good fit. She is extremely personable, smart and as she’s interested in business administration and accounting, I’m happy to give her a chance to see what it’s all about. We hope you will all welcome her as part of the team.
In order to accommodate these new staffing requirements, we will be changing our office hours to the following;
Closed for the Holidays December 23 – January 7th
Starting 2020 the regular office hours will be:
Tuesday – Thursday 9am – 5pm (May – July and September – January) Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (February – April)
We will continue to be closed for the month of August.
As always, I will continue to work outside of the “office hours” and will be reachable by email and/or voicemail. I will also continue to fit in meetings outside the regular office hours when the need arises.
If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me and I hope you will all join us here in congratulating Maria, wishing her well and in welcoming Alicia. We all look forward to a successful 2020.
Regards,
Raelle Johnson CPA, CGA

Minor construction is still in progress, but we are finally settling in. Please use the side entrance.
More pictures and improved signage to come as soon as everything is complete.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the new office!”
TO VALUED CLIENTS OF INGRAM JOHNSON
WE ARE MOVING TO OUR NEW LOCATION DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST AND WILL BE CLOSED THAT WEEK.
As most of you are aware, Vic Ingram has retired from the firm as of June 30th, 2017. Although filling his shoes will be challenging, he has been preparing Raelle, his business partner, to take over his clients for the last 5 ½ years and she is up to the task.
The name of the firm will be changing to R. Johnson CPA Inc., as a requirement by the association. In addition, Raelle will be moving the location of the firm to 39 Magnolia Drive which is only a short distance from our previous location. The new location will better suit the needs of all our clients as it will be on ground level, so no more pesky stairs. Our phone number will remain the same (250-954-0547).
Even with those changes, all your information will remain protected and the service you receive will remain the same. We look forward to seeing you all at our new office!

CPABC one of largest professional bodies in western Canada
VANCOUVER, June 24, 2015—The President/Chairs and CEOs of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC (ICABC), Certified General Accountants Association of BC (CGA-BC), and Certified Management Accountants Society of BC (CMABC) are pleased to announce that the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC) has been established through legislation as of June 24, 2015.
“Our government responded to a call to unify three professional accounting bodies in B.C. by enacting the Chartered Professional Accountants Act that comes into force today,” said Advanced Education Minister Andrew Wilkinson. “This milestone also provides an opportunity to recognize the importance of the accounting profession in the many sectors of our strong and growing provincial economy.”
“Today the provincial government enacted CPA legislation, allowing the CAs, CMAs, and CGAs in B.C. to amalgamate, and establish CPABC – one of the largest professional organizations in the province,” said Dan Little, FCPA, FCA, President of ICABC. “By establishing CPABC as the only regulatory body for designated accountants we’ll be able to better protect the public interest. Marketplace confusion about the different accounting designations will also be eliminated.”
The CPA designation is Canada’s pre-eminent accounting and business designation. With more than 38,000 members and students in B.C., and over 190,000 members across Canada, CPAs are providing crucial financial expertise to businesses in every sector of the economy.
“The first CPA students started the CPA Professional Education Program in September 2013,” said Simon Philp, FCPA, FCMA, Chair, CMABC. “Now they can convocate as CPAs after successfully completing the program. The new CPA program builds on all three accounting designations’ strengths, and best prepares candidates to meet the needs of employers both here in B.C., Canada, and internationally.”
The CPA program is the key that opens the door to boundless career opportunities in business, public accounting, government, not-for-profit, and education. The profession is developing the next generation of B.C.’s business and accounting leaders in order to meet the economic needs of the province.
“We’re excited to have successfully arrived at this significant milestone, having merged all three accounting designations. It showcases our province’s leadership both here and across Canada,” said Brian Friedrich, FCPA, FCGA, Chair, CGA-BC. “We are building a new profession, one that we can all be proud of that honours our collective past while striving for a future that positions Canada and British Columbia on strong footing within the global business community.”
